I've got a new-to-me 2001 Aero (CPO) with the BBS wheels. When I got the car, it had the original BBS wheels replaced under warranty due to finish issues, so except for a few tiny marks, I had new wheels.
I picked up a bottle of Meguiar's Hot Rims wheel cleaner when I put the wheels back on after the winter (switched to steels/Hakkas for the snow season), and have been using that to clean the wheels. If you make a habit of cleaning the BBS's, say, once a weeki, it only takes a few minutes. You spray the stuff on, use a wheel brush to loosen the dirt, wait maybe 30 seconds tops, then hose it off. So far, so good.
FWIW, the Detailing board here seems to prefer P21S wheel cleaner (you can get it on the web, but I haven't seen it in the stores...)
I have a black Aero (sedan), and the BBS's really stand out.
Enjoy your "new" Aero!
