Units can be changed the way you mentioned, but the initial settings with the tech 2 also make other functions work. Speed alarm will not function properly unless you set it to the ON position using the tech 2. By the way, the disables position makes it come on at 75 MPH regardless of what else you might do to cancel it.You can do better than 380 to get this done, but trying to skip the tech 2 is like going on a fools errand. You will end up at either your dealer or an indie and pay one of them to do it.
