A lot of oil residue under the engine.

Hi again:
Well, after excitedly picking up my 2000 9-5 SE Wagon last weekend in Dallas, and after an uneventful drive home to Atlanta, I was finally able to poke my head under the engine.
I was quite surprised to see a lot of oil residue on the underside of the engine. Maybe I was looking at the oil pan; I can't tell. I'm a new Saab owner and don't know where everything is yet.
Before I take it to the dealer, does anyone on this board have an idea what this is? I mean, I've seen messy oil changes but this looks like a lot more residue than that.
The oil pressure hasn't gone off, the engine runs at normal temp, and no blue or white smoke that I can tell. Thanks. Eric
