Actually since you have the 3.0 v6 you have a timing belt instead of a tming chain. I know leaks in the timing cover was a constant battle for me with my 2.3. I have a 3.0 v6 now too BTW. The leaky oil pressure sender is also a typical 2.3 issue.
I think the valve covers leaks are pretty common on the v6. I would look at the oil lines to the turbo. I would start my search grabing a large box and place it on the ground and drive over the cardboard. I would come back in an hour and check it. If the leak is not severe you may need to wait overnight. The ligher the color of box the easier to tell what color fluid is leaking. A flat box should give you a good idea where to look for a leak ie front of engine, left side, right side etc. Sometimes it is hard to tell transmisson leaks from engine oil leaks. It is possible that someone had the transmission flushed and did not tighen up the fluid lines properly. Although the miles are really low for someone to go to that effort especially when they probably knew that they were going to trade it.
I would ask the dealer to pull the service records for you. I think any Saab dealer should be able to pull the entire service history for all work performed at any dealer. This might give you an idea what was done to it and a clue to what may have not been connected properly and where to start looking. Anyway once you determine the general area of the leak report back. Others may be more familiar with common leaky areas on the 3.0 v6 and a more precise location of the leak might clue them in. I feel that if it is an engine leak it is the valve covers. Good Luck
