I suggest giving it an oil change every 5k. You're driving a high boost turbo car, with a fairly small oil capacity, which keeps one quart in the engine when you drain it, with a hard to read dipstick, and documented history of iffy PCV performance and sludge build-up. If, given all that, you want to roll the dice with 10k or even the totally insane 15k change intervals, be my guest but don't be suprised when trouble starts!
Stick with Mobil 1, use a premium filter, change it every 5k, and you'll be good to go. If you aren't mechanically inclined, find a well-recommended Saab independent mechanic to do it for you.
