Well, it's confirmed. My new-to-me 2000 9-5 SE Wagon's ACC Recirculation function does not, well, function. Took it to a highly respected repair shop in the Atlanta area. Basically the servo motor works when you hit the button, but the flap isn't moving to recirculate the interior air. The master technician said basically that the car would be in his shop for three days while he tears everyhing down to get to the flap and figure out what's wrong. It would take that long.

I wouldn't be so upset about it if I didn't have a lot of stop and go traffic, and fumes sometimes enter the cabin.

Any wise sages on this board have any ideas? 15 hours labor to figure out what's wrong, plus parts? In the technician's words, he thinks Saab starts with the ACC unit, then builds the damn car around it -- it's that embedded. Thanks for any help.
