Ok here's the thing: we're all obviously SAAB fans or we wouldn't be here. My issue, for what it's worth, is that I don't want an Audi, BMW, Merc, or anything else. I want a SAAB for it's individuality. Don't get me wrong, the M-series Bimmers are monster cars, the S-series Audi's may even have the edge over the M's, and the AMG Mercs are right on the heels of the other two, but I want a performance SAAB that can compete in this class. Maybe I'm asking too much, and like I said I do realize that this was never SAAB's aim to begin with, but we need rear (all-wheel) drive to start with. Then we can start putting serious power to the wheels, and I think SAAB (despite GM's issue with SAAB showing up their CTS or whatever else) can deliver. Take the 9-5, make it rear wheel drive, drop the new V6 in it (a H.O.T. version) and BAM! Now we've got a start at least. What's the hold up? Besides the 2006 redesign, which is going to take a lot, and I mean a lot of warming up too. The Aero should live up to it's name as technology evolves. BTW I just 'upgraded' from an '01 to and '03 Aero, and the difference is quite noticeable in the suspension tweaks alone. Couple that with the Xenons and .....sorry I know I'm preaching to the choir. Cheers gentlemen...
