Yesterday morning, puff of smoke, left work at 2pm to go home for the day, and turned the car on, and it looked like my whole car had caught on fire there was so much smoke, drove it to the dealership because it was the closest place arround, and did not know how safe it would be to drive it very far, I still had to drive it almost 10 miles. I am getting a kick in the teeth that is worth about $1650, the local shop was 200 less, but I would have to get it towed there and the would be using a rebuilt, and the dealership is using a new one, I don't know which would be better, but I figure that by getting it done at a dealership I would be able to pull more weight if it is done wrong or if it fails in the near future. also Dealer could get the work done by tomorrow, shop would not even get to look at it until next week. I don't know if I made the best decision, but I made it... Good luck with your work, but why do they ahve to change out the cats? a bad turbo would not ruin them that fast, I would have that looked at...
