See, that's not what I heard. Several pages down is a discussion from Stephen about the latest article in Nines magazine about how Saab has a Quality Package which includes new DIC and new software. So there is new hardware which solves this problem, or at least greatly improves this problem. Vehicles with the worst failure rates were the '01 9 5, which I own.
I'm asking here if anyone has heard any new information and if a recall really is coming down the pike.
My two cents is: I replaced my Audi with a Saab because it felt like a better car. I expect Saab engineers, Saab Global and SaabUSA to feel the same way. If they have a problem then they should expedite analysis, fix it and get it to the owners asap. I'm glad newer 9 5s have lower failure rates, so why can't I get the same fix? As for my Audi, after 7 recalls, a class action lawsuit and countless TSBs, I'm glad I'm driving my Saab.
