CPO is still a better value, but he CPO terms are fixed, an extra 2 years and 50,000 miles. A GM Protection Plan MajorGuard can be configured for more time or mileage and the only thing waiting really does beyond 36,000 miles for purchase is bump the deductible from zero to $50. I wouldn't say the GM majorGuard warranty is better than the Saab warranty, but very comparable. The Saab CPO is a factory warranty with which every Saab dealer handles through normal channels whereas a GMPP is a third party warranty on a Saab, the Cadillac of warranties if I may fracture the metaphor. Depending on the dealer you might not notice the difference.
