I just got the Kuhmo ASXs only a couple of weeks ago, but have driven about 1500 miles already on them. The noise I was getting from my "cupped" Yokos disappeared immediately. It is too soon to give a good review on them, but I drive a lot and should have a good idea about treadlife in about 4-5 months. The big plus with the symetrical tires is the ability to rotate them all around the car vs. just front-back. The other factor that my Saab mechanic told me is that the inside tread block pattern needs to be less "agressive" in design, in other words; the tread pattern should have more perpindicular lines vs. diagonal ones which these tires do!
I bought them along with some awesome new AT rims from Tire Rack which "Road Force" balanced them on a Hunter machine which is much more precise. I them mounted them myself and used a torque wrench on the lug nuts at 82ft.lbs. I got a full 4 wheel alignment at Saab at the same time and it needed it! I am planning on doing the modified cross-rotation on the tires about every 3k to minimize the inside treadwear(cupping)from the negative camber specs on the rear wheels. Along with going to 42psi (cold), I am hoping to get at least 40k+ out of these tires. The Kuhmos are also load rated at 94, which the Yokos and Pirellis I had were NOT! The Aero specs are for 94 and I am not sure why Tire Rack sells others that are lower rated for our cars.
The Kuhmos ASXs also have the highest UTOG treadwear rating of 420 and only cost me $91/tire. If you are shopping tires, Tire Rack is a good place for research and you can do a "compare" between different ones, which is how I ended up with the Kuhmos, which at this point the only downside is that they are not that good looking. Time will tell.....stay tuned.
