Went from 5w-30 blend to 0w-40 full, more startup smoke

Hello,
I have a 2000 9-5t that has 56k on it. In preparation for my half DIY/half dealer 60k service I have started doing some things on my car. I did the cabin, air and fuel filters, spark plugs, serpentine belt and an oil change and filter.
I was taking my car to a Saab dealer who was always using Castrol 5-30 synthetic blend and I decided to go to 0w-40 Mobil 1.
I have notived that the very first startup in the mornings produce much more smoke than I have ever seen before. I am very good about letting my turbo cool down but think I must has some sludge on the oil lines coming from the turbo.
I thought that the lower cold viscosity would of reduced startup smoke not increased it?
Should I be worried or should I just think about changing oil weights on next oil change?
Thanks,
- Mike
