6-point 1/2" drive socket on 1/2" drive breaker bar, no extension between the socket and the bar. Should be able to get 100ft lbs on it easy. If that's not enough they must have welded it in place! Check carefully for cracks in the pan around the drain plug if it's that tight...
Never hammer on a ratchet handle as you can easily break the mechanism in the ratchet head.
This is a prime example of why I never let anyone change my oil or install my wheels. They ALWAYS give it to the junior guy who has never heard of a torque wrench. And they ALWAYS screw it up.
