Saab 4's idle a little rough, this isn't a honda, this is a 4000lb car. Its a little truck engine with some great torque.
Bought a 2002 Aero Wagon with 20K miles. Year left on warranty, Saab certified until 2008. Fourt Saab, 900 SPG, 9000 Griffen (loved the shop),
99 95 SE V6 (never went to the shop), and now an 02 Aero Wagon.
The six bangers are hard to work on, stay with the fours. My six was great, but many Saab mechanics told me the Four is way more dependable.
Mine was great though, and the silver color is what I wanted. The 4 cyl Aero Wagon will spank the six though, hard to believe. I would pay the extra 2K to get a Saab through a dealer and certified though. Also remember, the ONSTAR will be dead on all Saabs (up to part of 2005 model year) January 1, 2008, for they are analog verus digital. That sucks, but would sting more if I bought new. Also the same on every GM car.
Some 05 Corvette's were analog ONstar, even some Caddy XLR's at 70K? GM is keeping this pretty quiet. I can see the ONSTAR commercial now, "I am in a diabetic coma, help, sorry sir, your ONSTAR is DEAD now."
