I have a 1999 Saab 95 that I bought used in January. I took it to a mechanic did the carfax check on the car and everything was perfect. I have changed the oil 3 times since then. This weekend my oil pressure light came on so I pulled over and put l/2 quart of oil in and the light went off. Then 10 miles later the light came back on and I knew it was something more. I pulled over and had the car towed to a Saab dealership. Before the mechanic had even looked at the car he is saying its oil sludge. I do not have any records prior to my purchase of the car. Does this just mean I'm just out of luck? This definitely sounds like an engineering flaw and just poor maintenance on the car. Is there anyone else in my shoes that have had the repair fixed by Saab and what did you have to do? Thanks.
