I made it to Raleigh today around 1:00pm. Roads in Eastern Ohio, I-80 east of Cleveland and I-77 southward, were slippery. No problems in WV or VA, and it too warm in NC for snow or ice, although barely.
My windshield ate a good sized rock on I-40 around the Raleigh/Durham airport. I now have a $60 invoice for windshield repair to hand off to my insurance agent on my return to MI.
I averaged in excess of 30MPG while traveling 75 to 80 mph through mostly mountainous terrain. Nothing beats a turbo in the mountains! Or good winter tires on ice.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
