Reports such as the ones above surely give pause to potential first-time SAAB customers like myself. It is bad enough that the owner of a SAAB (a premium price brand) should have such difficulties when less expensive brands (Toyota, Honda, and Subaru) appear to be more reliable. But, then to have SAAB/GM corporate not take care of their customer(s) who have experienced such stress, disappointment, frustration, and inconvenience is even worse. And GM is wondering why they are loosing market share? If SAAB/GM can't take care of the customers they do have ....
Before the Internet existed, there was "The Rule of 100." The basic concept was that at a typical wedding or funeral about 100 people would be in attendance. Upset one customer, loose 100 potential customers - all their friends and family. Now with the WWW, many more people can read about such sub-optimal product/service experiences.
Perhaps SAAB/GM will reconsider such cases and their customer satisfaction policies to demonstrate that they truly do value their SAAB customers?
