Snow getting into car...

So....first snow of the season in NYC. I opened the door and fifteen pounds of snow fell onto the leather seat. :/ I brushed a bit off the roof and tried again with passanger door. Same. I was meticulous with the third making sure that every bit of snow is out. Take three. Opened door, and sure enough the snow trapped in the seams fell inside. I think this is due to the aircraft style doors with a lip that breaks on the roof instead of on the side (am I making sense?) anyhow. This is pretty annoying. Even when I dust the entire roof I still get a dusting inside. I've recently spent a lot of time on autopia.org, and bought the Klasse twins, and some Collinite. Now I'm a detail freak, I'm searching for a better way to get the snow off the roof/paint (snow contains contaminants) than that plastic brush at the auto parts store.
Whats the deal with the snow for the winter?

PS- I just bought myself a bicycle! Yeah, after two years off I've returned. A 2005 Trek 7500FX (hybrid- mountain frame and sitting position, road tires and fork) hydraulic brakes, blood red colored frame, 700cc wheelset, Bontrager Hardcase tires, and a so-so Deore component set.
Don't reply about the bike or my message will get axed. :)
