Have been useing the cone shaped lug bolts on my wife's 9-5 wagon for her snows on steel rims for the last 5 yrs and have had no problems with them after cleaning the mateing surface with a wire brush, putting a bit of grease on the inner hub surface and torqueing the lug bolts to 80 in/lbs.Never had a problem.
