I had the suspension replaced, both shocks and springs. There are some pending parts issues, but the rear camber is still a degree too negative. Any clue as to what can be done? With new components and no damage the car should be at factory specs.

My only observation is that the car rides a little low both front and back as compared to the nominal ride height values in the WIS. This would lead to the camber being off. Those WIS tables are amazingly accurate and could probably be used to align a car if one had to. All measurements are approximate due to rounding and procedural variation. The car was sitting at 590mm front and 560 mm rear. Now with the new rear it is at 590 mm front and 580 mm rear. Nominal heights are 620mm front and 610 mm rear for 17” wheels with sport suspension. This suggests that my alignment may be fine, but that the whole car is 30mm or about 1.2 inches too low. How can this be? What would cause this? I considered that I may have measured incorrectly. I measured twice and my alignment specs match the alignment values/ride heights I am getting by hand measurement in the table.

If someone can host the technical data, wheel alignment section of WIS, others with this problem could check for a similar observation. If only Saab engineering would get involved. It is not fair to ask an owner or a dealer or SaabUSA customer service to solve this type of problem. Clearly there is something wrong with my car. All suspension components up until today’s replacement were stock. The car was never lowered.

Has anyone had a car that could not be fixed? Do manufacturers buy back such cars?
