Radio / Speaker Static...... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 29 Jan 2006 14:47:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I am looking for advice to solve a problem which has just started. I am getting intermittent static from what sounds to be just the passenger side dash speaker.
It sounds like a Jazz Drummer is rapidly striking his snare with brushes four or five times. This may happen once, or repeat a few times, but in either case it will not happen again for 30 minutes or more!
It first happened two weeks ago on a short drive with my wife (and her cell phone) in the passenger seat. It did not happen again until today during a long road trip, 3 hours each way, also with my wife and her cell phone in the passenger seat. Both times we were listening to FM radio stations.
I am mentioning the cell phone only because I wonder if it might be related to some type of search fundtion being performed by the Cell Company (our two phones have different service providers).
Should I be ordering a replacement speaker, scheduling service for the radio, or not worrying?
Thanks.
