That's the strange part...... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Tue, 31 Jan 2006 03:09:01 In Reply to: Re: Radio / Speaker Static......, Saab-san, Mon, 30 Jan 2006 18:16:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My phone (company provided) is now a Nextel, previously Verizon. My wife's phone is on our family plan and is a Cingular. I have not heard this noise with just my phone in the car, but typically my phone is attached to my bag laying on the passenger seat (further from the speaker) or slipped into the dash cubby where the grounded radio case would shield it from the center dash speaker.
My wife had her phone in her purse on the passenger side floor and then in her lap. Both locations placed the phone much closer to the speaker.
I did hear this sound yesterday evening with just my phone in the car for the first time, but I had my bag (and phone) lying in the passenger footwell to carry a computer on the passenger seat.
Sounds like time for an experiment. I'll keep track of relative position of phone to speaker and see if there is any correlation.
