Just kidding, no manual available.
I broke mine the first time I removed the clamshell (or maybe it broke when I first looked at it). By the time you break a few, you're supposed to learn it requires a surgeon's touch. (guess your dealer has a looooong learning curve).
After trying velcro tape for a while (the adhesive eventually lets loose in the summer sun), I drilled & epoxied in aluminum T fasteners with flathead screws/bolts holding the clamshell in place and those little plastic snapon colormatched caps from the hardware store to cover them.
A bit of work to do but now my little engineering pride and joy whenever I glance into the rearview mirror :-)
Seriously, those chincy tabs are about as underengineered as a toothpick for a carjack. :-(
