Toyota is quality

We have vendors the visit the Company I work for that are from Japan. They told us that Toyota City is a must-see, if any of us visit Japan. Was told the engines are assembled in a clean room, everything precision assembled and fitted. As a vendor told us, if you saw a Toyota being built, you would buy one. I said for me, reliability is only part of the equation. It must be something enjoyable to drive and the last Toyota I drove was boring. So I drive SAAB... Toyota is also really good about covering defects from the public and taking care of the consumer. Example: 3.0 liter engines of the mid 1990's - major head gasket failures, engine damage from anti-freeze in oil. Solution, repair engine or replace with a new one - no charge in most cases. 1988 Camry 4-cylinders - excessive oil usage, replace low-tension piston rings with standard tension. Sludging problems with Toyota's occurring as we speak. Toyota will cover sludging damage if owner can prove "reasonable care". I only wish Saab would take a similar stance.
