You can flush out about 4 quarts at a time by removing the transmission drain plug. You can get the correct fluid from your local Toyota Dealer which they call Type-IV(4). They charged me $4.65 a quart. It would take several changes to get most of the fluid to new. The torque converter holds most of the fluid and it can't be drained. I need to see if I have the correct socket to remove the plug on my 2002?
It might be wise to let the Dealer look at the transmission and fluid and diagnose it the way it is? I wouldn't expect it to be burn't-looking so soon? I think Saab charges around $9 a quart. If you can find it, Mobil 3309 might even be cheaper.
