Isolated Gated Bipolar Transistors as they are mentioned in the documentation as the reason for the failure. I am using the original DIC from my 99 9-5, 2.3 as a spare which I removed at 110,000 miles. It was used on my 95 9000CSE when its DIC failed over the Christmas holidays coming home from Atlanta. With 110,000 plus miles on the original and 85,600 miles on the replacement in the 9-5 I doubt that there is a major problem with either of these. The original 9000 DIC failed at 84,000 miles.
