Hi all,

Just bought a used 01 9-5 SE ARC wagon (61000 miles) and within 10 miles of leaving dealer lot, the engine light and TCS off light went on and car went into limp-home mode.

When I took car to the dealer they said that the Throttle body cap had come off (relatively rare). Is this something someone has heard of happening before?

By the way, love the car. 3.0l turbo, pristine, drives great. Other than that little hiccup (solved now by dealer), the car had its 60K maintenance done on it by previous owner (at the dealer) as well as the 60k timing belt change.

Anything else I should be aware of? Plus whats the truth with respect to using 87 vs 91 octane gas in the engines? Can I use the 'cheap stuff' or am I damaging the engine?
