Just an update to all who willingly helped with my previous posts on this subject, especially Anders. The saga continues.
I hooked up long leads from the positive post on the solenoid and also to the "pin", the small diameter post on the solenoid where the small guage yellow lead is attached. Connected to these leads I have my 12v DC test lamp mounted near the base of the windshield wiper so I can see it from behind the wheel. Of course now my Aero always starts and won't fail to start! It did seem strange that the lamp comes on when the key is out of the ignition with the switch off. That surprised me. I've disconnected the test lamp until I get to a no start condition.
