Do you have to go through the dealer or can you call you leasing co directly? If your dealer knows that the car has less miles they know it is worth more. We purchased our 99 4runner a few years ago for several thousand less than the buy out. Since we did this over the phone I did not tell them we were waaaaay over our miles(like 25K over) If they had know I would bet that they would have not taken as much off since they knew we would owe close to 4k at end of lease.

Also check around for prices of used saabs of that year and have the numbers ready when it's time to negotiate the deal. If you do it at you dealership bring the print outs with you. Saabs resale values are usally not good which is good for those of use that don't mind a couple year old car. Example is 99 9-5 is worth 6-7k and a 99 4runner is close to 14k but the saab cost more new.

The only thing they have on you is that they know you like the car since it is yours. But that is not going to get them more on the resale if you don't by it. Let them know what you will give them and let them have a few days to think it over. That is a plus when you start a month or 2 before the lease is up. Hey if they will not low the price at the end you still can take it at the buy out price.
