If you go into neutral and the frequency of the vibes does not decrease greatly*, then the probem is not the engine. But the near stalling does suggest that something else is not right. Pull the plugs, read them, regap or replace, clean injectors with Techron Concentrate, if problem persists, clean the TB.
*Please do not report what the tech's tell you, do this yourself.
Wheels may have 'hub centric rings', but they have to be the right size to fit the hubs. Note that bent rims can be perfectly balanced spinning in the air but will not roll smoothly. The fact that Saab rims and wheels are not running smooth, suggests that those wheels or tires were also bogus. But the problem may be with the drive shafts or wheel bearings. The dealer might not want to 'find the problem' as this might be an unexpected financial burden for them in making you happy. I would seek a second opinion from another source and pay for that service.
You can eval problems with wheels and/or tires by jacking up until the tires just clear the ground, then rotate the wheel and watch the jap to the pavement which indicates bad tires and/or wheels.
When Saab wheels are put on and driven, I would really want to be driving the vehicle my self to see whats going on. I would want to drive the doner Saab with those same wheels.
Bad suspension bushings can allow a minor problem to become a severe vibration. Ditto for badly worn out shocks or shocks that have blown out their oil past failed seals. Ditto failed ball joints or tie-rod ends.
A bend drive shaft can have tight CV joints but shake anyways. One could jack up the vehicle, start the engine and get in gear and watch for something out of true. Take appropriate precautions.
I think that you will have to get more hands on to solve this problem or go some place else.
