Spoke with a savy saabofile dealer the other day. Much fewer 9-5's coming to US this year...can't always get exact color, options etc. US 9-5's can not run on E-85 (85% ethanol blend)but can run on about 30% ethanol. Just as well, I think ethanol is terrible stuff and cuts down on mileage.
Interesting that the Euro Spec 9-5's can run on E-85 or gasoline. Anyway, Europeans seem to love this and the 9-5's are selling so well there that Saab has cut its allocation to the US.
I hope they send more over here for the '07 model year. I have an '03 aero and like what I hear so far about the '06's...especially the front air dam that doesn't scrape on driveways. Am curious to hear more about the new brakes w/o the dust...although I would hate to give up any of the great quality of breaking on my '03 aero. HS
