If the car has been maintained don't be afraid of it. yes, like all LPT motors the turbo can go but otherwise there is nothing wrong with the 99. I run one with 117,000 miles. It runs excellent. Maintenance has been kept up and repairs have only been what would be considered normal wear items for a car this age. I run a Nordic stage 2 now and put in the SAAB sport suspension. I'm extremely pleased with my 99. it ran great before the mods and runs excellent after. At 115,000 miles my original turbo was not showing signs of smoke. I replaced it with an upgraded unit from Abbott to enhance my other mods. I could have run the original turbo much longer I'm sure. The car is still tight and quiet. I do 2500 mile synthetic oil changes. Overkill but I like it that way. As I said, if the maintenance hasbeen kept up, go for it. Dan
