Saab Bio power Posted by Johnson [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I was just wondering if anybody has any good information on this. Have been seaching the web and seen good stuff on it, I was also wondering is it possible to converte say a MY99 to a bio power car? I am in Arizona and we are going to be getting a processing plant here and from my limited understanding this fuel will be significantly cheeper than regular gas and a conversion could pay for its self in not much time.
Right now I usually fill up with about 16 gallons a week, at 3.10 a gallon it comes out to 49.60 every week for gas. or about 2579.20 a year just on gas. if I did a conversion and it cost me 2k, but I then pay 2.10 for gas ( I heard average price could be as much as a dollar a gallon less) that is only 1747.20 a year or about a difference of 832 a year between the two, in just over two years, it would have paied for its self and then be saving money, if possible... Somebody was telling me that I need a diesle engine, but the current saab bio power can use either regular gas or E85 so I am guessing it is not a diesle engine.
