Bought an 02 CPO Aero 5sp with 23k miles about 2years ago. My first saab. Best way to describe the driving experience is...I would wouldn't want to travel in anything else out there for the money period. Saab's definitely make great travel cars.
However it's had it's share of issues. Mostly minor though. I currently have 65k miles on it. So far I've had issues with:
Intermittant noise/hum during during cold starts with serpentine belt after short belt mod.
2 flickering xeon headlights replaced under warranty.
SID is losing pixels in freezing tempatures.
Driver side front wheel bearing is starting to sound like its going.
Steering wheel clunk fixed under warranty.
Front passenger window seems like it's not in track and won't ever be at this point. Dealer has readjusted window twice. And replaced crimped window molding due to issue twice.
Rear tail light wiring harness was replaced.
Transmission has popped out of 5th gear at highway speeds when hitting potholes.
Clutch pedal squeeks a bit.
Other than that, I absolutely love the car and the ride and plan on keeping it for the long haul, barring any catastrophic failure out of warranty of course.
Oh and perhaps most importantly...I Love my Indy! :)
