I've had my 03 Aero 5-spd for 3.5 years now and just turned up 45K. Here's my book report: A-, almost an A. This car has been very reliable and always fun. I've had two relatively minor repairs. The rain-sensing wiper sensor went at about 5K and was replaced. The steering had that loose, thunking thing going on at about 35K and was tightened/relubed. That tightened it up for about 10K miles, but it needs it again.
Other than that....nothing. This car has been a real pleasure. Fast, roomy, great stereo, nice handling, fantastic seats, 30 mpg on the highway and veryh solid. I change the synth oil every 4K - 5K miles and that's about it.
There are many notes on this board asking for help with problems, which makes sense since it's a problem-solving board. But my experience with my 2003 convince me that the 9-5, at least 2003 and later, is completely sorted out and reliable. I'm happy to have this great car, paid off, with low miles and another 100K plus of good service in my future.
