I have this too and it has been discussed here before. I thought perhaps it was just normal gear backlash, but I agree it is a bit excessive. A UK bases Saab forum had a discussion about this too. Apparently the dealers there were told to replace the seat base due to the installation of some faulty movements in some cars. Allegedly the problem involved faulty tolerances in the power seat motors. This is why adjusting the seat cures the problem temporarily. This info is supposed to have come out of Saab Sweden. I just mentioned this to my dealer when I was in for service and he was clueless saying the seat movement is normal. Does anyone here know anything about these UK instructions? Is IRIS worldwide or do the UK dealers get different info than the US dealers.
