I have three remotes for our MY99 SW, one which has been decommissioned because it will not activate the alarm (one of the button switches is gone). I got a replacement courtesy of Matt P, and it was working nicely. But now one of the remotes is eating batteries, about once a month, and now a battery in less than a week.
It appears to me that a faulty capacitor would be able to leak the stored power over time, and I am wondering if any one knows of a quick fix. I suppose the alternative is to move up to the inetegrated key set, or just use the blade to lock and unlock the car.
Thanks,
CrNiFe
