I've had my steering-wheel off to fix the broken turn-signal. I don't have wiring diagrams but it should be easy to check. You should be able to see some/most of it by removing the airbag from the wheel. One the backside of the steering wheel at 3/9 o'clock are 2 caps. Pop them out and behind them are 2 torx screws. Loosen then and the airbag will lift off (do it with key off). If you need to remove the steering wheel, just remove the center nut but be careful that the clock-spring doesn't get damaged as you slide the wheel off! Wheel splines are keyed. Do you have the premium package (Xenon's, memory seats, ventilated seats, sonar reverse)? If you do, you should also have rain-sensing wipers so with those, there's not really and intermittent setting - just sensitivity. Flip the wiper stalk all the way up after the car is operating and that's rain sensing mode. Each time the car is restarted, you have to lower the wiper stalk and then fully raise it to activate rain sensing. The adjustment pot on the stalk is sensitivity. All the way up is more sensitivity to rain and down is least sensitivity. If you don't have Xenons' etc, ignore all this.
