Rear pads/rotors

I am down to about 2-3 mm outer pad thickness on side and 4 on the other on my rears and will need pads soon. WIS says 4mm is the minimum. The minimum rotor thickness is 8mm on a 10mm start. I am guessing, but I can’t imagine the rotors can be cut. So I assume I will need rotors too. Is there any harm in waiting until the pads is all used up and then just replacing both the pads and the rotors? Any suggestions for rotors? It is an Aero, but there should still be a lot of choice for the rear rotors. Or are the Aero rears unique also like the fronts in which case the only choice is Saab. Raybestos Part # 980058 is 11.26 inches (286mm). Genuinesaab shows the Aero rear rotors as 300mm and the non-Aero rears at 278mm. What about pads? There is OEM, EBC (I am satisfied with the fronts), PBR (seems to be bad experiences with these in terms of dust), Mintex, Akebono Euro (seems that there will be ceramic rear OEMs at some point), and others. If my front EBCs ever wear out I will probably try the Saab/Akebono OEM pads. Is there any advantage to matching front and rear pads? I have read some people feel this is best with all the electronic sensors.
