I don't notice any less stopping power when I first start up in the morning than when I finish my 33 mile commute. I was warned (anecdotely) of this, but EBC recommends the Reds for heavier cars. I also saw no benefit to having the Sport rotors on the rear but used the Reds on the rear just for the matched set.
C.
PS at least one online retailer has stopped selling EBC because of reports of warped rotors, shuddering, etc. I'm convinced (based on my limited performance driving) that proper 'bedding in' is critical. While I didn't go crazy with high speed stops, I did a couple medium hard stops, I think just as important is to not sit on the brakes after you come to a stop. This is easier with a manual, I guess, but I'm now in the habit of coming to a stop, out of gear and off the brakes as is reasonable. I believe it allows more even cooling.
