Hi, My 1999 9-5 2.3 LPT with auto tran cranks over fast but no fire. I got in trunk and put my ear down near gas tank and with key turned to on position I heard what apparently is pump running. Immediately after cranking, DI made a slight buzzing sound that I assume is the plug cleaning taking place. I have two known good DI modules and tried both to no avail. I then took out plugs and they seem to have fuel on them (hard to tell by sight but they smelled of fuel). I shoot a short blast of starting fluid in each cylinder and put plugs back in and as engine was being turned over I sprayed some additional starting fluid in the intake but there was no combustion. Does anyone know if the tach needle should have a slight bounce when cranking. My understanding with the 9000 models is that if the CPS (crank position sensor) is bad the tach will not have the normal slight bounce when cranking. My 9-5 has no bounce. Any comments are much appreciated! ToddH
