When I replaced my bypass valve, I thought it was still leaking because it smelled and when I opened the hood it was still wet.
Turned out to be a lot the coolant that had leaked out when I replaced it and was still dripping down the firewall.
It got everywhere and formed little puddles that leaked and dripped on the cat when I was driving. It wasn't until 2 days later that everything finally dried up. Now it's fine.
