I checked those hoses and they looked good, but I eventually discovered that the hose from drivers side of the block to the bypass was split.
at idle it did not leak at all, but at 2-3k rpm the pressure was enough to spray.
if you can beleive this, the angle of the slit directed the spray almost directly onto the bypass valvle ... so I asssuemd it was the valve that was leaking since it was drenched!
One more question:
I am surprised that a hose would crack/split on a car with 60k on it. should I expect other hoses to be on the way out as well? or was this a fluke/bad hose from the factory?
