Did get it checked out at the dealer's this morning. Scan indicated Catalytic converter malfunction but then the mechanic told me its common as there is unburnt fuel that needs to clear out before sensor can reset itself. Its OK to drive and the CEL should go away after some time. While driving out of the dealership the CEL went away by itself...

In any case the dealer informed me that the catalytic converter on my Saab (2002, 95 Arc) has an 8yr. 80K mile warranty adn they would replace it free if it malfunctions.
