The way these system are working now is that you never service them as in the old days as long as you change the oil frequent enough so that no carbon deposits and sludge is built up in the PCV system.
The white check valve in the small vacuum hose needs to be replaced though when it breaks (and it will). You just won't see it on the outside but the one way check valve inside give up its ghost.
Sometimes the rubber hoses leading the hot oil gases away is deteriorating and needs to be replaced but that is also related to lack of oil changes.
If this latest PCV update will turn out to work ok, maybe it would be a good idea to give the PCV system a work over, have the hoses, filler pipe and PCV box replaced and that it will then work forever and ever.
