Scalloped tires

I have a 200 95 Aero (my third Saab). I am continually having problems with tires getting scalloped. I use summer tires during the summer and change to different rims and winters during the winter. I rotate the tires when changing them. Total mileage is about 15,000 miles year. I ruined a set of Michelin winters last year and have now discovered that the new set of Bridgestones that I put on last summer are now scalloped with only about 5,000 miles on them or less. During this time I had my mechanic check alignment at installation and again in six months and I have just come back from the dealer to get them to check it as well, including the suspension. Everything was mechanically great and no adjustments needed after the first alignment at installation. The car does not track well in rutted roads, it will pull to the left or right, if one tire catches a road rut.
So, apparently I have nothing wrong mechancially with the car. Shocks are good and everything tight. I have heard from someone else whose friend had the same car and who eneded up being so unhappy with the handling, that he dumped the car.
Anybody know anything about this?Do you have any information that would lead me to a solution or to the knowledge that this is an inherent problem with the car. I am tired of having my most frequent wear part being the tires!
