Thank gents for this. I have followed these leads up. Saab claim that my car is fine wrt alignment, suspension height etc. I also rotate at lesat every 5km. They suggest that the rear shocks have been problamatic since day one so I replaced those and at the same time just put new snow tires on my 16" winter rims (Saab alloy wheels). As a result same funny noise, of course, in my tires and more shudder at highway speeds than normal. I asked them to highway test drive. So the latest is that three of four of my alloy rims are bent! Whover heard of such a thing? The rims are maybe three years old and used 6 months per year and bought from Saab itself. ANyway, back to the dealer net week to discuss. There is something fundamentally wrong with the car and I am determined to find out what it is. Other than this, it is a great car to drive.
