Hey guys, got this car and the ex owner mentioned it had gotten the code after the stage 2 SQR ecu.
Now I know when the P0100 code pops up the car runs off the air temp sensor and MAP sensor. Cars are tuned using the MAF, now the car hit about 4k rpms yesterday and it knocked, car is running on 93 octane R+M/2 method.
this is from my other forum post:
Ok, we went to the state inspection yesterday and got a big fat black "R" for rejected.
We have the 60 days to fix it. Now the code read was a P0100 Mass or Volume air flow circuit. then in another column it states "Catalyst failed"
The car runs fine, drives fine except that it stumbles almost as if blew a spark under hard load at low rpms. We are going to check the plugs today, But we are more concerned about the CEL. The old owner said it started once the SQR stage 2 ecu was put in. Here in Massachusetts you can not have a CEL to pass inspection if a newer car.
Any suggestions on this code and this car as it rides fine, idles fine, cruises fine?
Reading more into it, it has been stated to check the wiring to the MAF.
