Changing the DI

Open box containing new DI (5 seconds)
Remove new DI from box (5 seconds)
Open hood (2 seconds)
DI is black unit labeled Direct Ignition on top of engine (2 seconds)
Unplug connector on driver's side of unit where the wires come out of the DI. You press in the metal clip on the plug and pull out. (5 seconds)
Remove four Torx head screws holding DI to cylinder head (30 seconds)
Gently but firmly lift up on DI to remove it (10 seconds)
Place new DI on spark plugs (it is pre-lubed with dielectric grease) (20 seconds)
Replace four Torx screws so they are snug, not over tightened. (30 seconds)
Reconnect plug (10 seconds)
Remove old DI from under hood and put in box new one came in (4 seconds)
Close hood (2 seconds)
Put box with old DI in trunk as a spare (6 seconds)
Start car (2 seconds)
Drive away with no worries.
Elapsed time: 2 mins 6 seconds
Cost of a new DI $230 or so.
Being able to change it yourself anywhere, anytime: priceless.
