I bought a 2001 Aero three months ago from an Indie. I want to replace the tires. I brought it to NTB last weekend and two bolts on the rear right wheel would not budge. They hit it with the impact wrench for quite awhile. They also used a three foot long bar with some penetrating oil. No good. I took it hom and sprayed it every night with PB Blaster. Brought it back today and after 10 minutes they got one of the stuck ones off but the other would not budge after another 30 minutes. If I put some heat on the bolt I figure I will probably trash the wheel and NTB said I may also trash the hub which they said is big$$ on this car. Any one have this problem before? There happened to be a guy sitting in the waiting room who said he had the same problem with a SAAb he used to own. He had to bring it to Saab where they broke the wheel in the process of trying to get the wheel off and dinged him for the cost of the wheel. My options seemto be to bring it to Saab and have then try and get it off and potentially trashing the wheel in the process. Maybe in advance I find a good wheel on ebay. My other thought was to invest in a long bar , 6 to 8 feet long, and keep spraying the lug. I figfure this is cheaper than a trashed wheel and a new hub and labor. Appreciate any guidance here.
